is invariably the first question on everyones lips  ..and the answer to that is simple enough

with  two pubs right on the door step..The Royal Oak at Hooksway and the White Horse at Chilgrove

two very different pubs each with their own distinct character ...you are spoiled for choice

The Royal Oak is a  country pub dating back to the 17yh Century  serving real ales and  traditional pub food ..   while The White Horse at Chilgrove  offers  more cosmopolitan fare in  a modern and contemporary setting  whilst still  retaining much of  the character of the original coaching inn it once was ....

each can be easily reached by foot  through the fields adjoining the campsite and onto the  public footpaths  The Royal Oak is 0.5 mile and the White Horse 1 mile  or by car they're just 2 minutes away
